Do you know somebody worthy of recognition for the hard work he or she has dedicated to the sport of dressage at the local or national level?

If you know someone, nominate now for the Regional GMO Volunteer of the Year Award, presented by The Paddock Saddlery. One winner in each Region will be selected, so be sure your region is represented and nominate today! Winners will receive their award and recognition at the 2010 Adequan/USDF Annual Convention.

If you know someone worthy of recognition at the national level, nominate today for the USDF Volunteer of the Year Award, presented by The Paddock Saddlery. One member will be honored with this national title at the 2010 Salute Gala & Awards Banquet.

Nominations are due in the USDF office by August 31.

2010 HDS Year End Recognized, Schooling Show Awards, Rider Achievement Requirements

New for 2010: For the HDS Recognized and Schooling Show Year end awards, you do not have to send in your scores (ie, complete the score report) as part of the eligibility requirements, as scores will be calculated from the USDF site (Recognized) and from HDS Schooling Show Secretary reports by the HDS Year End Awards Committee. However, If you are eligible for Rider Achievement Awards, you will need to complete the "Year End Rider Achievement Score Report FORM

Deadline for submitting Recognized Show scores for Rider Achievement Certificates is November 15, 2010. Deadline for submitting Schooling Show scores for Rider Achievement Certificates is January 5, 2011

HDS Juniors to Produce and Manage Sonesta Farm’s First HDS Recognized Schooling Show September 11, 2010

Our region’s newest series of HDS Sponsored schooling shows will be held at Sonesta Farms in Cypress, Texas. The first of these schooling shows will be held on September 11, 2010, and will benefit our Juniors in more ways than one.  In addition to having half the proceeds from the office fees will be contributed to HDS’s Juniors Division, this show will be an intense learning experience for the Juniors as they plan, manage and produce the entire show themselves!
Please support our Juniors by participating in the show as a competitor, volunteer and spectator.  Closing date for the show is September 9, 2010.  For more information, visit our events pages or www.sonestafarms.com

Reminder to Instructors / Trainers; Breeders, Barns, Tack Shops, Competitions, etc... .for all advertising for the 2011 Omnibus... deadline is Sept 17th.

Advertising form is on the regional website: www.usdfregion9.org

The omnibus... will once again be a PDF on the Region 9 Website... which is getting about 300 visitors a day. Advertisers in the Omnibus also will be included on the respective pages of the website... such as the Instructor / Trainer page, the Breeders page, Competition page, etc. The directions of who to send it to, where, and what to do are on the form.
